Yazeed al-Rajhi of Saudi Arabia made history by winning the Dakar Rally, becoming the first driver from the host nation to do so. In the motorbike category, Australia’s Daniel Sanders claimed victory with three successive stage wins, while Spanish rider Tosha Schareina finished second. The race saw notable retirements, including Carlos Sainz and Sebastien Loeb, with Nasser al-Attiyah finishing fourth overall in the car category.
