Joseph Webster Remembered After Ripirō Beach Incident

Maurice Webster witnessed the profound impact of his son Joseph’s life when around 900 people gathered to pay their respects following his tragic death. Joseph Wiremu Webster, 43, and his cousin Johnathan Brian Webster, 54, drowned at Ripirō Beach after struggling in the surf, reportedly caught in a rip current. They had been net fishing with a relative, who managed to swim back to safety. Efforts to revive both men were unfortunately unsuccessful.
