Wundig Wer Wilura In Concert: West Australian Opera to bring second Noongar-language opera to Bunbury

The West Australian Opera will present the second Noongar-language opera, Wundig Wer Wilura In Concert, at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre in November, created by Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse. This opera tells the ancient Ballardong Noongar tale of two lovers, exploring themes of family, connection to country, and love amidst conflict, featuring an all First Nations cast and sung entirely in Noongar with English subtitles. Following a successful premiere in 2024, the performance will also tour Albany on November 5, with two shows in Bunbury on November 7.
