Renowned writer and columnist Sreevarahom Balakrishnan passed away at the age of 93 in Kerala. Specializing in the arts, he was a columnist for The Hindu and had a background in teaching English and working in public relations. Balakrishnan also contributed to the film industry by writing dialogues for Elavancode Desam and screenplays for Swathi Thirunal, Snehapurvam Meera, and Aswathi. He is survived by his wife and children, with the cremation scheduled for the following evening at Santhikavadom, Thycaud.
