WPP has acquired data collaboration platform InfoSum, which will become part of GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, with Brian Lesser, global chief executive of GroupM, bringing his expertise from InfoSum. InfoSum will enable WPP clients to connect first-party data with data providers and media partners while remaining privacy-compliant, aligning with Lesser’s AI-based data strategy for GroupM and the goal of using InfoSum’s data network to build AI models for audience insights and campaign assistance.
