Incredible footage captures the moment university student Maverick Robbins called triple-0 after breaking his back in a paragliding accident at Rainbow Beach, Queensland. Slumped over a cliff, he couldn’t feel his legs and needed a helicopter rescue, which was carried out by the LifeFlight team. Three months later, Robbins was able to paraglide again and expressed gratitude for being alive thanks to the rescue team’s heroic efforts.
