World’s most beautiful island with ‘too many tourists’ abandons plan to ban new hotels | World | News

Bali, named the world’s best island, plans to lift a ban on new hotels despite overtourism issues, opting for stricter regulations instead. Governor Wayan Koster will introduce a Provincial Decree to manage property ownership, aiming for 6.5million overseas visitors by 2025. Concerns over environmental degradation persist despite claims of low hotel occupancy rates.
