Starting in Moscow, visitors can travel west to Vladimir in just two and a half hours, a city founded in 995 that was once the capital of medieval Russia and houses UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The journey continues through Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Angarsk, Irkutsk, and Lake Baikal before concluding in Vladivostok. Despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the route remains operational with two services leaving Moscow daily, but UK tourists are advised against traveling to Russia due to safety concerns related to the invasion of Ukraine.

‘Knifeman’ rams car into Army barracks ‘armed with explosives & shouting at guards’ as bomb squad swoops
The Bomb squad was called to detonate a car after a man drove through the barriers of a disused Army barracks in Aldershot. The man, armed with explosives, shouted at guards before being arrested by Hampshire Constabulary. The 54-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a knife blade in a public place and criminal damage, with the incident not currently being treated as terror-related.
