World Food Programme runs out of food stocks in Gaza

The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced it has run out of food stocks in Gaza due to the prolonged closure of border crossings, leading to warnings of imminent starvation among the population. In the past 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes have resulted in at least 78 deaths, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis as food prices soar and aid supplies remain blocked. The Gaza health ministry reports significant casualties since the breakdown of a ceasefire, with over 51,300 Palestinians killed in the ongoing conflict following a Hamas attack on Israel in October 2023.
