The altercation started as an argument on the sidewalk before turning physical, resulting in the victim, a 35-year-old woman, being shot multiple times. The victim was taken to UChicago Medicine in fair condition, while charges against the shooter are pending as detectives investigate the incident and recover a firearm at the scene.
