Muswell Hill residents are actively replacing yellow ribbons symbolizing hostages taken by Hamas, after a woman was seen cutting them down, claiming they “condone genocide.” The incident, which is being investigated as racially-aggravated criminal damage, coincides with the second anniversary of the October 7 attack in 2023, during which 251 hostages were taken, with 48 still believed to be held captive.
