The killing of Nemesio Ruben Oseguera Cervantes, known as “El Mencho,” the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), has sparked widespread violence in Mexico, particularly in Jalisco. Following his death during a military operation, cartel members launched coordinated attacks across over 20 states, including arson and roadblocks, resulting in significant casualties, including over 25 National Guard members. The CJNG, recognized as one of Mexico’s most powerful drug trafficking organizations, has been involved in various criminal activities, including drug distribution and extortion.
