New Events at the 2026 Winter Olympics Eight Winter Olympics Events Added for 2026

KAYSERI, TURKIYE – Athletes competed in the Youth and Senior Ski Mountaineering National Team trials at the Erciyes Ski Center on December 18, 2025, organized by the Turkish Mountaineering Federation. This event featured 30 athletes, including 12 women, from five provinces, aiming to secure spots on the national team. As the 2026 Winter Olympics approach, ski mountaineering makes its Olympic debut, showcasing events like the Sprint and Mixed Relay. The Olympics will also feature the inaugural Women’s Doubles luge event, emphasizing teamwork and coordination.
