Wing Expands Drone Delivery with Walmart
Wing, a subsidiary of Alphabet, is expanding its drone delivery service in partnership with Walmart to 150 additional locations across major US cities, including Los Angeles and Miami, by 2024. This initiative aims to cater to the increasing demand, serving up to 40 million customers and establishing 270 delivery sites by 2027. The service began in August 2023, with recent expansions into Atlanta and upcoming launches in Houston. Wing previously collaborated with Walgreens for health product deliveries and is developing a larger drone with enhanced capacity.
