What will the new head of MI6 actually do?

Blaise Metreweli has been appointed as the first female chief of MI6, taking over from Sir Richard Moore later this year. Currently known as ‘Q’, she joined the agency in 1999 and will now head intelligence operations, reporting to the Foreign Secretary, while dispelling myths about the spy profession and the portrayal of female spies in films.
