Will Lewis has resigned as publisher and CEO of The Washington Post following significant layoffs that impacted one-third of the newsroom. Jeff D’Onofrio, previously CEO of Tumblr, has been appointed as acting publisher and CEO. Lewis, who was brought in by Jeff Bezos in late 2023 to address declining readership and financial losses, faced criticism for his leadership during the layoffs.
