Minnesota Wild captain Jared Spurgeon will miss two to three weeks due to a right leg injury sustained from being slew-footed by Nashville’s Zachary L’Heureux, who received a three-game suspension. General manager Bill Guerin confirmed surgery is not needed but expressed frustration over the situation. The Wild are also without defenseman Jake Middleton and leading scorer Kirill Kaprizov, emphasizing the team’s focus on long-term health and the need for other players to step up in Spurgeon’s absence.
