Why this major carmaker thinks in-car screens have reached their peak

Hyundai’s chief creative officer, Luc Donckerwolke, predicts a shift back towards analogue controls and a reduction in screens in car interiors over the next couple of generations. He suggests that mainstream vehicles will primarily use screens for a limited time, while luxury vehicles will incorporate voice controls to supplement screens. Concerns were raised about safety and the reliance on screens, particularly regarding the potential for distractions and outdated user interfaces in vehicles with extensive digital displays.
