The NHL’s top goalie prospect, Jesper Wallstedt, became available to the San Jose Sharks in a trade due to the Minnesota Wild’s desire to acquire additional draft picks. Wallstedt, a highly touted goaltender, was selected by the Wild in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft but was included in the trade package as part of a deal to secure more draft assets for Minnesota’s future.
