Apparently, for the past four years, BLNZ has been using hardpressed levy payer funds to prop up a privately-owned magazine publisher.
For some reason, staff at BLNZ have decided that the country’s meat producers should be subsidising a basically glorified ‘Women’s Day’ glossy magazine called Shepherdess.
One would have to seriously question the value to the county’s struggling meat producers subsidising such a niche publication with limited readership and distribution.
This looks very much like one of those woke, diversity spends and an area where some savings could and should be instantly made!
