An advocate representing the mosque side in Sambhal stated that the whitewashing of the Shahi Jama Masjid’s outer wall began on Sunday following a directive from the Allahabad High Court to the ASI to complete the task within one week. The ASI team conducted measurements and assessments on March 13, in response to the court order. The mosque has been at the center of tensions in Sambhal since riots broke out in November last year, resulting in four deaths and multiple injuries.
