In Salt Lake City, the U.S. Postal Service’s Remote Encoding Center processes around three million letters daily, with about 75,000 requiring further examination due to illegible addresses. Led by Ryan Bullock, a team of data conversion operators, including veteran Amy Heugly, work tirelessly to decipher addresses, resorting to manual inspections when necessary to prevent mail from being returned as undeliverable.
