When this orangutan got roughed up, he treated his wound with a medicinal plant

When Rakus the orangutan discovered he was feeling a bit under the weather, he appeared to have a plan in mind.

In June 2022, the Sumatran orangutan in Indonesia suffered a facial injury, possibly from a confrontation with another male. Without hesitation, he retrieved some liana plant, recognized for its healing qualities, and applied it to his wound.
