Stryker, a global medical device manufacturer, has confirmed a cyberattack that disrupted much of its infrastructure, with a group linked to the Iranian government, Handala Hack, claiming responsibility. Reports emerged from social media and the Irish Examiner indicating that employees’ devices were wiped during the incident. Stryker announced it is addressing a “global network disruption” in its Microsoft environment, stating there is no evidence of ransomware or other typical malware involved, and believes the situation is contained.
