What to know about FEMA disaster relief ahead of Hurricane Milton’s landfall  

As Hurricane Milton approaches Florida’s west coast as a Category 3 storm, FEMA is working to provide relief amid the threat of back-to-back storms. Hurricane watches are in effect in Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, and Naples as residents brace for the impact. Milton, which strengthened to a Category 5 storm, is expected to make landfall Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
