How does this make you feel?

Formula 1 is currently in Melbourne for the third round of this year’s championship.

The Australian Grand Prix is a major sporting event in the country, with large crowds expected at Albert Park.

The grid has been set for Sunday’s race, and fans are gearing up to enjoy 58 laps of speed and adrenaline.

Here is a preview of what to expect for Sunday’s grand prix.

Where can I watch the Australian Grand Prix?

The Australian Grand Prix will be broadcast on both free-to-air and pay television, as well as online.

You can catch this year’s race on:

Network 10Foxtel, channel 506Kayo

ABC Sport will also provide a live blog of the Australian Grand Prix starting at 2pm AEDT.

What time does the F1 race start?

3pm — NSW, Vic, ACT, Tas2:30pm — SA2pm — Qld1:30pm — NT12pm — WA

How long will the race last?

Most F1 races cover a distance of 300km, plus one lap, with the exception of the Monaco Grand Prix.

The Albert Park track is 5.278km long.

This means the race will consist of 58 laps, totaling 306.124km.

Typically, races last between 80 to 100 minutes.

Last year’s Australian Grand Prix was the longest of the season in terms of duration.

Max Verstappen crossed the finish line over two-and-a-half hours after the race began.

Due to multiple crashes, last year’s race lasted about an hour longer than usual.

Where is the Australian Grand Prix being held?

Since 1996, the Australian Grand Prix has taken place in Melbourne around Albert Park.

Albert Park is located just south of the Melbourne CBD and near St Kilda Beach.

The circuit runs around Albert Park Lake, offering a picturesque backdrop of Port Phillip Bay and the Melbourne skyline.

Who is on pole, and where will Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo start?

Max Verstappen will lead the race from pole position after securing the fastest qualifying time in Melbourne for the second consecutive year.

He will be accompanied by Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz on the front row of the grid.

The qualifying results were mixed for Australian drivers, with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri qualifying in sixth place, while Daniel Ricciardo struggled and could only manage 18th place.
