West Virginia AG Addresses Harassment Claims Against Trans Athlete
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

West Virginia Attorney General John McCuskey addressed allegations of sexual harassment against a transgender athlete involved in a lawsuit against the state regarding participation in girls’ sports. The allegations, made by former teammate Adaleia Cross, involve claims of graphic threats made in a locker room setting, which the trans athlete and ACLU deny, asserting the allegations were unsubstantiated. Despite an investigation by the Harrison County School District, the Cross family reported feeling ignored after their complaint. Activists, including former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, expressed concern for the safety of young girls in athletic environments.
