Kosti, Sudan – The humanitarian crisis continues to escalate as nearly 1,700 displaced individuals, primarily women and children, flee from the conflict in Heglig, where the Rapid Support Forces have seized control. Arriving at the Gos Alsalam displacement camp in Kosti, they face dire conditions with insufficient supplies, including food and shelter. Many have endured harrowing journeys, with some giving birth without medical assistance along the way. The ongoing violence has displaced 14 million people and left 21 million facing acute hunger, marking Sudan’s situation as one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises.
