The suspects used a bear costume and meat claws to create the videos, which were submitted as part of fraudulent insurance claims totaling almost $142,000. Detectives uncovered the scheme, dubbed Operation Bear Claw, and executed a search warrant, leading to the discovery of the costume and claws in the suspects’ home.
