Four individuals in Southern California were arrested and charged with insurance fraud and conspiracy after staging fake bear videos involving luxury vehicles, including a Rolls Royce Ghost, a 2015 G63 AMG, and a 2022 E350. The suspects used a bear costume and meat claws to create the videos, which were submitted as part of fraudulent insurance claims totaling almost $142,000. Detectives uncovered the scheme, dubbed Operation Bear Claw, and executed a search warrant, leading to the discovery of the costume and claws in the suspects’ home.
