(CBS DETROIT) – James and Jennifer Crumbley, the parents of the Oxford High School shooter, are facing sentencing on Tuesday after being found guilty of four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the November 2021 shooting that resulted in the deaths of four students and injuries to several others.
Oakland County Judge Cheryl Matthews will be responsible for determining the sentencing. Prosecutors are seeking a 10 to 15-year prison term for the parents.

CBS News Detroit will provide live coverage of the sentencing starting at 9 a.m. Victims will have the chance to make statements during the hearing.
The sentencing hearing began with a discussion of the pre-sentence investigation report completed on Tuesday, April 2.
On February 6, Jennifer Crumbley was found guilty of four counts of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting incident involving her son. The victims included Justin Shilling, Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, and Hana St. Juliana. Seven other individuals were also injured.
Jennifer Crumbley was the first parent in the U.S. to face trial in a mass school shooting carried out by their child.
Her defense attorney, Shannon Smith, has requested house arrest for Jennifer Crumbley, with her living in Smith’s guest house, which is close to Oxford High School.

On March 14, James Crumbley was found guilty of four counts of involuntary manslaughter after a week-long trial.
