Warner Bros. Discovery has agreed to be acquired by Paramount Skydance in a deal valued at approximately $77 billion, including significant debt. The agreement follows Netflix’s withdrawal from the bidding process. The merger will combine notable film studios and streaming platforms, pending regulatory approval from the Justice Department and EU regulators. Paramount Skydance’s leader, David Ellison, has committed to creating enhanced value through this consolidation.
