Many people feel embarrassed by their phone screen time and want to decrease it. Christine Rosen recommends a 24-hour exercise to not reach for your phone during brief pauses, known as “interstitial moments.” This exercise aims to increase awareness of the world around you and give your brain a break from constant stimulation. Setting boundaries with your phone, such as keeping it out of your bedroom, can also benefit your mental and emotional health.
