The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) will debut over 300 shows at Edith Cowan University’s new city campus in 2026, featuring diverse performances in theatre, dance, and music, many of which are free. The program includes renowned artists like pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk and jazz composer Maria Schneider. Highlights consist of productions such as Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Purcell’s The Fairy Queen. The year will culminate with a contemporary adaptation of The Bacchae and various community workshops.
