An 11-year-old was allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery at a West Auckland shop on View Rd, Sunnyvale, around 7:40 PM. A group of youths, armed with a non-firearm weapon, demanded money from the store worker, who managed to escape and contact the police. The offenders took several items before law enforcement arrived swiftly and apprehended them. Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie is overseeing the investigation.
