A village officer named M.P. Anil Kumar was arrested in Kozhikode, Kerala for accepting a bribe of ₹50,000 from a landowner for converting his land for a petrol pump construction. Anil Kumar, who had demanded ₹2 lakh in total, was caught red-handed at a lodge near the government medical college campus by the Vigilance unit, led by DySP K.K.
