A clearer picture emerged of two families affected by the tragic slaying of four children, their mother, and a family friend in Ottawa last year. The Wickramasinghe family suffered immense loss, while the Amarakoon family also grieved the death of Gamani Amarakoon, a devoted husband and father. Victim impact statements highlighted the deep emotional scars and sacrifices made for a better life in Canada. Dhanushka Wickramasinghe, the sole survivor, expressed gratitude for community support and his commitment to helping others through the Abhises Foundation.
