A section of the Stanley Park Seawall in Vancouver has been closed due to a mudslide caused by significant rainfall on Sunday. The slide, which involved mud, rocks, and vegetation, blocked access between Prospect Point and Siwash Rock, leading to the closure from Third Beach to the Lion’s Gate Bridge. The parks operations department is assessing slope stability and conducting cleanup, emphasizing public safety and urging individuals to avoid the area. The Stanley Park Seawall is a popular 10-kilometre waterfront path.
