A report into the care received by Nottingham triple killer Valdo Calocane suggests he may have been spared prison due to incomplete evidence, according to his victims’ families. Calocane, diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, received an indefinite hospital order after killing three people and attempting to kill three others in June 2023. The families criticized the treating teams for allowing Calocane to make decisions and not providing long-lasting antipsychotic medication, raising concerns about potential injustices in the court proceedings.
