The Committee in Uttarakhand has completed discussions on the Uniform Civil Code and will present their suggestions to the Chief Minister in a booklet, potentially implementing the code before November 9. The Uniform Civil Code Bill was passed by the Uttarakhand Assembly in February and signed by President Droupadi Murmu on March 13, positioning the state to be the first in the country to enforce the code.
