Ryan Routh, 58, who was accused of staking out Donald Trump’s Florida golf course with a rifle, has been indicted on a charge of attempted assassination of a political candidate by US federal prosecutors. Routh allegedly pointed a rifle through a fence at Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach on September 15 while the Republican presidential candidate was present, resulting in two gun-related charges being brought against him. He has been ordered to remain in jail while awaiting further legal proceedings.
