The U.S. added 80 Chinese tech companies to its export blacklist, citing national security concerns and efforts to restrict Beijing’s access to advanced computing technology. The Bureau of Industry and Security barred American companies from supplying these entities without government permits, targeting firms involved in developing AI, supercomputers, and high-performance chips for military purposes. Among those blacklisted were companies supporting Huawei and HiSilicon, as well as entities aiding China’s military modernization and quantum technology capabilities.
