Coloured Sand Products Found Contaminated with Asbestos

More coloured sand products, specifically Rainbow Sand Art Toy and Craft Sand 380g, have been recalled due to testing positive for asbestos. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) announced the recall following proactive testing that confirmed asbestos contamination in several samples. Ian Caplin, MBIE’s Product Safety Spokesperson, stated that they are collaborating with suppliers to address the issue and facilitate the product recalls. Consumers are advised to stop using these products immediately.
