A woman in her 40s tragically died after a water-related incident at Maraetai Beach in east Auckland. Emergency services, including police, St John Ambulance, Fire and Emergency NZ, and the Westpac rescue helicopter, responded to the scene around 3.30pm, but resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful and she died at the scene.
