UNRWA chief renews call for probe into attacks on humanitarians in Gaza

Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini made an appeal for independent investigations into ongoing violence in Gaza, where 258 UNRWA staff have been killed and numerous incidents of attacks on UNRWA buildings and facilities have been recorded. He also highlighted the mistreatment of detained staff by Israeli authorities and called for the release of all detained humanitarian workers. Meanwhile, in Gaza, displaced families face worsening conditions due to heavy rainfall, with critical shortages of fuel and essential supplies creating challenges for humanitarian operations and aid distribution.
