Rob Zombie has mentioned that for every film project of his that moves forward, there are five potential projects that don’t make it. While we may not know of all the unmade Rob Zombie movies, there have been several interesting ones that never materialized. Zombie recently stated that he won’t be continuing his Firefly franchise or making a sequel to The Munsters. In the meantime, here are some of the Rob Zombie Movies We Want To See!
DR. SATAN PREQUEL/SEQUEL
A potential story focusing on Dr. Satan, a character from the Firefly franchise, could explore his origins or what happened after his lair was discovered. Zombie shot some material involving Dr. Satan for The Devil’s Rejects, which could provide a basis for a standalone film.
THE PUNISHER
Zombie was once considered to direct a Punisher movie, which could have showcased his unique style and approach to storytelling, especially in the realm of violence and action.
THE CROW: 2037
A unique take on The Crow franchise that Zombie was planning, set in a post-apocalyptic world with elements of medieval times and Universal Monsters influences.
WEREWOLF WOMEN OF THE SS
A faux trailer made for Grindhouse, this concept could be expanded into a full-length feature film involving Nazi mad scientists and werewolves.
TYRANNOSAURUS REX
A potential action movie about a washed-up prizefighter caught up in an underground fight ring, showcasing Zombie’s love for gritty, violent cinema.
THE NAIL
A comic book adaptation that could explore the story of a pro-wrestler facing off against Satanic bikers, providing a thrilling and entertaining narrative.
BIGFOOT
A cryptid horror story involving Bigfoot terrorizing the Pacific Northwest, offering a fresh and terrifying take on the creature genre.
THE BLOB
Zombie’s abandoned version of The Blob could have introduced a unique twist on the classic sci-fi horror story, providing a new perspective on the iconic creature.
BROAD STREET BULLIES
A departure from horror, this movie would have delved into the story of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team in the 1970s, combining elements of sports drama and character-driven storytelling.
MANSON MURDERS PROJECT
A limited series exploring the Manson Family murder spree, with Zombie collaborating with Bret Easton Ellis to tell the story from different perspectives, offering a fresh look at a well-known event in history.
RAISED EYEBROWS
A potential biographical film about Groucho Marx’s final years, showcasing Zombie’s interest in unique and compelling stories outside of the horror genre.
Honorable Mention: C.H.U.D.
Although not confirmed, the idea of Zombie remaking the cult classic C.H.U.D. could have been an interesting and thrilling project to see come to life.
