Richard Schick, a former University of New Brunswick women’s volleyball coach, won $50,920.98 in a wrongful dismissal lawsuit after being terminated for alleged harassment and aggressive behavior towards players. The court found that while some complaints were founded, UNB should have given Schick an opportunity to reform his conduct before termination, supporting the application of progressive discipline.
