UNESCO Global Geoparks

UNESCO Global Geoparks are unique areas recognized for their significant geological features that illustrate Earth’s history. They undergo a revalidation process every four years, and currently, three out of five Canadian geoparks—part of a global network of only 229—have been advised to make improvements. The image features guide Anna Hergert leading small groups on custom tours through the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark in Nova Scotia, showcasing the region’s geological significance.
