UN says Gaza polio vaccination campaign complete

The UN announced the completion of a successful child polio vaccination drive in Gaza, with over 500,000 children vaccinated despite ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The second round of vaccinations was carried out in northern Gaza after Israeli bombing disrupted the initial attempt. UN agencies, including WHO and UNICEF, managed the campaign, aiming to prevent the spread of poliovirus in the besieged territory. The UN called for a ceasefire to ensure the continuation of essential health and humanitarian interventions in Gaza.
