UN member states endorsed the ICJ’s findings, urging Israel to fulfill its obligations as an occupying power by granting unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza, ceasing attacks on UN facilities, and upholding international law. The resolution, supported by 139 countries, was introduced by Norway and highlighted the violence in the occupied Palestinian territory. The US and Israel were among the 12 countries that voted against, while 19 abstained. The vote was seen as a strong endorsement of the ICJ’s findings, particularly regarding allegations against UNRWA and the agency’s neutrality.
