Ukrainian Village woman struck and killed in hit-and-run – NBC Chicago

A hit-and-run driver killed Halyna Hudzan, wife of a former priest, in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village, leaving the faith community devastated. Active in the church choir and volunteer work, Hudzan was struck in a crosswalk near St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, with friends and parishioners mourning her loss. The driver fled the scene in a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and as of late Friday, no arrests had been made in connection with the tragic incident.
